This is Boca, a dangerous and run-down barrio not far from San Telmo. It has a tourist area which is safe but completely manufactured, and full of tango dancers performing for pasty white, boozed up travellers (myself included). The houses below were described as living tourist traps, which were interesting but I couldn't help feeling a little disheartened nonetheless. Anyways, I ventured down a narrow corridor just off the beaten path and came across these kids. I took a couple shots, showed them the pictures, they all smiled and laughed then one of them punched my camera.
